A period of counselling enables an individual to free up negative thought patterns and re-occurring behavioural patterns that cause distress.
By having your own counsellor to accompany you on what could be a demanding experience, you as the client would gain insight into the underlying causes of the difficulties encountered.
Through counselling, and by engaging with someone who is supportive and non-judgemental, each individual would be able to work through their problems within a safe environment. This would, over time, generate someone who would be more personally aware, acquire better coping skills and gain in self-confidence.
Issues that I can help with
Abuse, bereavement, career issues, depression, disabilities, eating disorders, illness, loss, phobias, relationships and trauma.
Services offered:
Short or long term counselling, evening appointments available, home visits.
Client Group:
Individuals, adults, young people age 11 upwards.
It is of paramount importance for the client to feel at ease with the counsellor. During our initial meeting we would discuss what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain by the experience. There is no obligation to continue if you feel unsure.
