What is Herbal Medicine ?
Herbal Medicine is the oldest form of medicine known and has been used since the earliest of times to treat illness and promote good health.
Medical Herbalists undergo rigorous training which includes the same diagnostic criteria as doctors. Herbalists will be familiar with any orthodox medication you may be taking, and will be able to work around this if necessary when prescribing for you. However, herbal medicine takes a more holistic approach to treatment. seeking to identify the underlying causes of a person's ill health and then supporting the body's own healing and recuperative processes. In this way each patient is treated individually: starting at the grass roots
of their particular condition.

The Consultation
Initial consultations last approximately one and a half hours, during which time we will discuss your current state of health in detail, taking a careful medical history including previous ailments and details of any medication and diet. Together we will devise a treatment strategy that you feel is acheivable.
We will usually meet again in 2-3 weeks for a follow -up appointment,when your treatment will be reviewed.
Medicine is charged on a weekly basis and there will usually be several weeks between appointments. You will be supplied with enough medicine to last until your next appointment.
